Sign Up and Create a Notion Account
- Go to notion.com and select Get Notion free.
- Sign up with your RPI email and verify your email if prompted.
- Create your workspace name (you can use your name for a portfolio).
- Once you’re in Notion, click your name in the upper-left, then open Settings.
- Scroll down the left menu to Explore plans.
- At the bottom of the page, select Upgrade to Education Plus (if eligible).

Create Your Initial Pages
Use /page to create new pages. Here are three strong starter pages for your portfolio:
- About Me / Engineering Profile
- Purpose: Introduce who you are and set the tone for your portfolio.
- Include:
- Photo or avatar
- A short intro (1–3 sentences)
- Interests (robotics and beyond)
- Why you chose Robotics Engineering
- Skills you want to build this year
- A favorite project, class, or technology so far
- Project ideas you’re excited to explore
- What you want to convey:
- What excites you about robotics?
- What do you hope to be able to build by the end of your first year?
- Learning Journal — ROBT 1010: Introduction to Robotics Engineering
- Purpose: Reflect on your learning in this course by adding entries weekly.
- Include (each entry):
- Date
- What we worked on
- What I learned
- What confused me
- One question I still have
- Next step

Projects
This will be filled out in your college career to include projects from classes, personal hobby, internship experience, undergraduate research, etc.

Collect and organize:
- Helpful videos
- Tutorials
- Articles
- Code snippets
- Design references
This will become your personal knowledge base.
